The Story of Valentina II The place of construction of Veliero Valentina II was Mjosundet Bat og Hydraulik in Aure Norway. The schooner was built for Reidar Johansen & Brothers at West Smøla in Norway, mainly for the purpose of catching smaller whales. Therefore, it had a port in the side for hauling whales on deck and a lookout-barrel in the foremast. When it was built it ran on a 30hp Heimdal motor which was considered a very large motor for its time! It was bought by the owner Enrico Manca few years ago and transported to the Mediterreanean Sea. Despite minor renovation, the schooner preserved the original characteristics and is now comfortable, functional and safe to guarantee you splendid days of sun, sea and relax! Valentina II can comfortably carry 22 persons on its board and has plenty sunbathing space with cushions and two canape covered areas. Under the board it has 2 bathrooms, shower and a dining area with stereo. The team consisting of Enrico Manca and two assistant skippers provides for an excellent client service. The schooner can also be let exclusively for a small group of people with itinerary to be agreed upon. Sailing season starts beginning of May and ends mid October.
