The Story of Velieri Valentina

The company Velieri Valentina was founded in 1992 by Enrico Silvestro Manca, a sailing afficionado born on the island La Maddalena.  His passion for sailing and schooners has been passed onto Enrico by his father Giovanni Manca who taught him tricks of trade in the waters surrounding the archipelago islands and Bocche di Bonifacio, worldwide known sailing area and site of annual Rolex Cup sailing competition.

Enrico's passion for schooners - also referred to as Ladies of the Sea - has been reflected in the choice of the company's fleet, starting with the purchase of Valentina I.  During renovation of Valentina I, the company was able to preserve the original schooner characteristics whilst taking into consideration comfort for the clients on board.

In early 2000, Enrico expanded his company by adding l'Emmanuel and Valentina II to the fleet to be able to better satisfy the demands of clients and hotels in the famous Costa Smeralda area.

Velieri Valentina were also filmed in movies and TV adverts by Giuseppe Tornatore.
